Education & Professional Background

Dr. van Hazel comes from a family of dentists and medical professionals, fostering a lifelong passion for healthcare. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto and has been serving patients in the GTA and surrounding areas ever since. Before pursuing dentistry, she completed a PhD in molecular evolution and biochemistry of visual pigment proteins, with her research published in top scientific journals and presented at international conferences. Throughout her academic journey, she received numerous awards and scholarships in recognition of her excellence.
